I’m really glad we went with the smaller ship. I know some people want all the huge-ship extras, but for us it was totally worth it because it never felt packed and we actually ended up getting to know a few people. The cabins were perfectly fine too, nothing fancy but comfortable enough. I’d definitely do it again

We sailed with Windstar and, the cabin ended up being one of the things I appreciated most. It was quiet, spotless, and the bed was seriously comfortable, I slept better than I do in a lot of hotels.
I was a little worried about storage, but there was plenty of room for our bags and clothes. The bathroom was small, but totally fine, and the whole experience felt really smooth. It was such a nice space to come back to after a full day out.

At first glance, the cabin looked okay, so I figured everything was fine. But once I actually checked the bathroom corners and the sheets, it was disappointing. I feel kind of stupid for trusting that it had been properly cleaned.

My booking wasn’t showing the right cabin at first, that was frustrating. Not exactly what you want to deal with when you’re trying to get excited about a trip. I had to make a couple of calls before it finally got sorted out, which was annoying, but to be fair, Windstar did fix the issue and followed up afterward. I just wish it hadn’t taken as much back-and-forth. The staff were nice about it, so I’m giving them 4 stars.

I had a good meal here overall. Most of the food was really tasty, though there were a couple small things that weren’t perfect. Nothing that ruined the experience, though, I’d still be happy to come back and try more.

The ship was nice. The sailing itself was fine. Most of the crew were friendly too. But the service was all over the place. Some meals were good. Others were not. Our room had a few problems, and they took way too long to fix. For what we paid, I expected better. It wasn’t a terrible trip. But I’m not in a hurry to go again

The food on our Windstar cruise was okay overall, though I keep wondering if I just had my expectations set too high. A few dinners were genuinely really good, especially the fish, but then other meals were kind of plain or came out more warm than hot.
Breakfast was decent but nothing I’d really remember, and some of the desserts looked amazing but didn’t quite taste as good as they looked. It wasn’t bad by any means, and maybe I’m being picky, but for the price I thought it would feel a little more consistent

Boarding was really smooth and well organized. I liked that the signs were clear and the staff kept the line moving without any confusion. Getting off took a bit longer than expected, but overall it was a easy experience.

The main thing I paid attention to was the crew, and they were great. Super friendly, easygoing, and made the whole onboard experience feel really smooth.

I had a good time on the cruise overall, but am I missing something? For what was included, the price felt a little high. It was a nice trip, just not sure I’d say it felt totally worth what we paid...

I loved every excursion we went on, the shore trips were a real highlight. I’m just hoping someone follows up soon about the compensation/credit we were expecting, but the experiences themselves were great.

Really enjoyed this one. The routes felt a little different, not just the same old ports everyone does. Super easy trip overall. Loved the stops.

I was pleasantly surprised by how easy the booking process was. There was a small hiccup when I tried to pay, but support jumped in and got it sorted really quickly. Overall, much smoother than I expected.

I booked Windstar because I had it in my head that it was going to feel really upscale and special, and while it wasn’t bad or anything, it just didn’t really hit that luxury mark for me, the ship had a few areas but then other spots, especially some of the decor and the room details, felt kind of worn out for what we paid.

The amenities were a little underwhelming too, the pool area was smaller than I expected and the gym was basic, and the staff were nice and friendly but it never had that extra polished, pampered feeling I was hoping for from a higher-end cruise.

The food was fine, like we always found something to eat and nothing was terrible, but it wasn’t the kind of memorable dining I expected, so overall I had an okay trip but for the price I really thought there would be more comfort, nicer touches, and just a more luxurious feel.

During the day, the activities felt kinda limited too unless you were happy just lounging around or paying extra for excursions. For what we paid, I really expected there to be more fun stuff to do onboard.

I was hoping they’d be more helpful, but the replies took a while and it never really got sorted out. I kept explaining the issue, and then they’d come back with something that didn’t quite address it. It was just one of those things where you feel like it should’ve been easier, but it wasn’t.

We had a good time on Windstar overall, and there were definitely some really sweet staff members who made the trip feel special. A few even remembered our names, which I always appreciate and makes a big difference.

That said, the service was hit or miss. Meals could be slow, answers to simple questions weren’t always clear, and a couple times I got transferred from one person to another just to get basic help, which was frustrating. Nothing ruined the trip, but for the price I expected things to feel a lot smoother. I might sail with them again, but I’m not exactly rushing to book another one...

The vibe onboard was genuinely really nice, relaxed, quiet without being dull, and the crew were friendly without hovering. People were actually chatting like normal, which made it feel small and easy instead of crowded. That said, I did feel a little misled because it wasn’t quite what I expected from how it was described beforehand. Still a good experience overall, just wish the expectations had been clearer.
